🕯️Community Rallies After Homeless Man's Murder
A vigil was held for 45-year-old Peter Bennedum on May 5, who was allegedly attacked by a group of teenagers, with attendees saying he was a good person with a good heart (NC34). About 50 people gathered, with some wrestling with how to improve outcomes for youth and the unhoused (Press & Sun).
Charges for the five teens involved in his beating were upgraded to murder after Bennedum died in the hospital (Fox40)
✈️Air Service to Detroit Returns
Delta has relaunched its daily afternoon service between Binghamton's BGM and Detroit's DTW airports (NC34).
This came after months of no commercial air service operating out of Binghamton's airport, right after tens of millions were spent on renovations (Press & Sun).
