‼️Must-Reads

🗳️The N-word heard around the Tiers

Mayoral candidate Miles Burnett (D) is under fire for a resurfaced webcam video from when he was a teenager, saying the racial slur multiple times while discussing a song's lyrics that contained it.

Burnett took to Facebook to apologize and address the issue, saying, "I am deeply sorry to all the people I’ve hurt and let down. It was a stupid thing to do, and I would not make the same choice today as an adult. Those words were not appropriate then, and they are not appropriate now."

The video, no longer available on YouTube due to a privacy claim, spread to news outlets and around the internet.

Incumbent Mayor Jared Kraham (R) said it should "disqualify" Burnett, his opponent, and accused Burnett of lying about his age in the video, saying that he was older than Burnett stated when the incident occurred.

🎠⚾🎆Rumble Ponies Win Eastern Championships

I don't know about you, but watching the Ponies lose in the championship opener on Sunday vs. the Erie Seawolves put me in baited breath.

But the Ponies did have it in them - just not at home. They won 8-2 in the final game, winning the series 2-1.

It's the franchise's fourth league championship and the first since 2014.

Braving storms, fans came to celebrate the team's arrival at home.
