🚧Controversial Tech Park Gets Environmental Report

The 70 page environmental study for the proposed Broome Technology Park lays out the plans for the development (NC34), which has faced significant doubts, concerns and a lawsuit from residents and government officials in the Town of Maine (WBNG).

The draft statement is available for review and public comment at BroomeTechPark.com, and a public hearing is planned for April 16.

🏀Local Teams Compete in Basketball Championships

The Chenango Forks Blue Devils' girls basketball team has advanced to the Class B finals in Troy, making a statement over the No. 1 team (WBNG). They play tonight at 7:45 pm vs. Yonkers Montessori Academy for the title.

Horseheads girls basketball plays vs. North Tonawanda today at 1:30 pm for the Class AA semifinals, and if they advance would play tomorrow at 11:45 am in Troy (Press & Sun).

🦅Naturalization Ceremony Returns

25 people became U.S. citizens at the Broome County Courthouse at the first citizenship ceremony of the year (NC34).

The federal government canceled November's ceremony, creating a lot of uncertainty before reversing course and allowing this event to take place alongside community partners like the American Civic Association.
