🏈Super Bowl Connections
🇺🇸For the New England Patriots: Windsor native Jason Houghtaling is the team's assistant offensive line coach, who began his coaching career at the high school level for The Black Knights (NC34), and Vestal native Ally Butler, an account executive in Boston by day, will be performing as a cheerleader for the Pats (NC34).
🦅For the Seattle Seahawks: While no direct connections seem to exist between the team and the Binghamton area at the moment, the recently sworn in Mayor of Seattle Katie Wilson is a Binghamton native, elected on a campaign for affordable housing and efficient public transit (Pipe Dream)

👪Hochul Visits Broome for Childcare Push
This center around a state pilot program coming to Broome County for a new child care facility under construction at the Oakdale Commons mall in Johnson City. Monroe and Dutchess counties also will participate in the pilot.
Hochul announced the push for universal child care—specifically for children under four—in her State of the State address last month.
🎫Concert Venue Planned
Current plans envision a 400-person venue that could include a new building on the CVS parking lot, while possibly partnering with another entity to redevelop the CVS building itself (WNBF).
Downtown has seen a live music revival in recent months, with local underground and rock shows frequently hosted at venues like Crowbar, The Deep State and Blazin' Saddles.
