🎠New Vintage Carousel Coming to Arnold Park
Yep, you heard it. A "new" (aka, built in 1917) carousel is planned for Arnold Park in Vestal in honor of Ted Warner by the Old Village of Union Historical Society.
It is estimated to cost about $1 million, which is planned to be funded by grants and donations. All donations over $100 will result in a permanent recognition on a plaque in the carousel enclosure, and families, individuals, or businesses donating $10,000 or more can have their name permanently inscribed or attached to a horse or chariot.
The Town is collecting donations "immediately".
"If we want a carousel in Vestal, we need to do this together," a release from the Town of Vestal states.
