👮Binghamton's Police Chief resigns amid scandal

Chief Joseph Zikuski is resigning as the leader of the Binghamton Police Department, effective October 6.

This comes after a filmed incident of him standing by during an incident where his girlfriend was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, harassment, and trespassing.

Picking a new chief might be tricky as there are currently only four qualified candidates in the department.

⛺⛪Downtown homeless camp dismantled by law enforcement

A homeless encampment was established on Christ Episcopal Church's land downtown, and disbanded following legal threats from the city

Mayor Kraham says the temporary structures were illegal, and that there were health and safety concerns reported. The Church says the campers left voluntarily.
